As reported on the
Khatt Foundation site a few months ago, my work will be included in the upcoming
eps51 book
'Arabesque – Graphic Design from the Arab World and Persia', to be released in April by
Die Gestalten Verlag. See the
"Arabesque" video interview with Ben and Sascha.
The idea for the book came about when Ben Wittner and Sascha Thoma, the founders of
eps51, moved their headquarters to Cairo, Egypt. Through the inspiration of Arabic graphic design and calligraphy,
TalibType™ was born, and subsequently the germ for 'Arabesque' began to grow.
The 'Arabesque' previews offer some of the richest work I've seen. I am honored to be a part of it.
'ana intu' was originally designed for the
Speak Up Word It series. The translation from the Arabic is "i am you are", or, in my thoughts, "i am you."
